My search engine optimisation talk is a really popular one and focuses specifically on how good search engine visibility can be achieved for your site at no cost.

The key topics of the night were:

1What is SEO and what does it do. In here we discussed the power of the search engines and how they present the data to you. Types of things people may search for and how this can help you focus how you want people to find your site.

2How does SEO work. This was about how your pages are set up in terms of the code used and what the search engines like in terms of your site construct. I spoke a bit about HTML (the page construct) and mentioned CSS (the page styling)

3The last part I called 'turning it to your advantage'. This was about how to look at the competition, how to focus your keywords and tools you can use (such as google analytics and the google keyword tool) to achieve these aims. Last and definitely not least was a discussion about link building.
