Importing Microsoft Outlook in to your Google Apps Email

What some people do not realise as well is that google apps is free for up to 10 email addresses and you also get 7GB email storage per mailbox as part of the free solution.

This blog gives you some brief information on importing you Microsoft Outlook Emails in to your google apps email account. You need to have set up google apps first and also have set up your email in google apps.

Once this is complete you can download the google tool here. Once downloaded, run the tool and follow the instructions to import your emails. What this tool does is upload all your emails (and contacts etc if you select these as well) to your google apps email account from you Microsoft Outlook. It can take a while and we have seen it run for at least 24 hours on previous installations so be patient. Once uploaded you will see that google apps has replicated all your emails and folders and built threads on emails that you have created.
